Program:

1. Introduction to the Cytology and Histology of Epithelial Tissue.

2. Connective tissue: Fascia, Serous membranes, Meninges. Bones, cartilage, tendons and ligaments.

3. Myology: Skeletal muscle fiber. Contraction, origin and insertion, muscle relaxation. Contractures, shortening, hypertrophy, atrophy.

4. Arthrology: Morphofunctional aspects of joints. Types of joints. Joint planes, axes, and ranges of motion.

5. Nervous tissue: Anatomical and functional divisions. Nerves. Brain, spinal cord, motor endplate; ANS, Compressions and blockages. 6. Introduction to manual techniques, general massage.

7. Fascial mobilizations, joint adjustments, and stretches.

8. Topographic and palpatory anatomy of the head and neck.

9. Manual treatment of the head and neck: Thai massage applied to headaches, neck pain, and shoulder pain.

10. Topographic and palpatory anatomy of the neck and upper limb. Anatomical relationships between the neck and upper limb.

11. General massage, fascial mobilizations, joint adjustments, stretching. 12. Manual treatment of the neck and upper limb: epicondylitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, De Quervain's tendinitis.

13. Topographical anatomy of the axial skeleton. 14. General massage, fascial mobilizations, joint adjustments, stretching. 15. Manual treatment of the spine, thorax, and abdomen.

16. Palpation and release of the large bowel loops, mobilization of the small intestine, diaphragm mobilizations, approach to the rib cage.

17. Practical Anatomy in the Anatomy Laboratory at Santa Casa.

18. Topographic and palpatory anatomy of the abdomen, pelvis, and hip. Anatomical relationships between the trunk and the lower limb.

19. Palpatory anatomy, tests and manual treatment of the abdomen, pelvis and hip: Sciatica, trigger points of the quadratus lumborum, iliopsoas, pain triggered by the obliques. Innervation, femoral and sciatic.

20. Topographic and palpatory anatomy of the lower limb, knee, ankle, and foot. 21. Knee and ankle tests, palpatory anatomy, and releases.

22. Study on retinacula, fascia and ligaments that make up the knee, ankle and foot complex.

23. Massage techniques for knee, ankle, and foot dysfunctions.

24. Course conclusion with general review and application of manual techniques and their relationship with internal organs.
