The Dharma Institute was founded by Professor Diego Marquete, to act as a Traditional Thai Medicine Manual Therapy Clinic and teach courses in Thai Massage, Tok Sen, Thai Herbal, Chi Nei Tsang and other Thai Medicine techniques; training professionals certified by the ITM School in Chiang Mai, Thailand, a partner school that the Institute represents.

Diego Marquete is a physiotherapist, postgraduate in Acupuncture and Phytotherapy, specialist in TMJ Dysfunction, Visceral and Neural Osteopathy, he developed an interest in Thai massage in 2004, starting his studies at the Kam Thye Chow school and after traveling to Thailand, studying at several schools and with renowned teachers and traditional doctors.
